Deployment of the Week
Simulations are important for planning and training. Building community networks is even more critical. This is why we are proud to call the Alerts! Connect team - Deployment of the Week. In the past year, Community Leader, Dave Leng, conducted a successful simulation. See the
HEAL report (PDF) on the community site for more details.
When Cyclone Evan hit Samoa, the Samoa Emergency Response team and
UN OCHA called on the
Standby Task Force,
Humanity Road and others to help map information. The full results are still be being analyzed, but in the meantime, congratulations to the teams and dedicated volunteers.
See a great summary on the Digital Humanitarian Network blog.
