The polls have closed here in Kenya. We have received over 6670 reports today from Kenyan citizens around the country and from the 700 Uchaguzi observers at the polls. About 79 of those posts were security issues, most of which were injuries that occurred during queue management such as long lines such as in Soweto, or that political party agents were acting in a hostile manner. There were 313 voting issues reported as well, with accusations that Tanzanians were attempting to vote in Migori.  Of these, 37 posts have been verified and escalated to the appropriate authorities.

Those reports have come in via our SMS short code 20166, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, mobile app, and directly from the web forms. Currently we have received 3311 via SMS, 1493 via Twitter, 66 via Facebook Messenger, and 389 direct from Uchaguzi.or.ke.
